In Perú, the government practice the new obscurantism in society, attending with cynicism the disfigurement of the truth, disguising the exploitation with generosity, political lust with honesty and uneven development with social justice. Leaving us in a constant liminal state and ambiguity, confusion and lethargy, where the transmission and expansion of knowledge and progress to the working classes becomes only a utopia. For many years we’ve been and still fighting against gender violence, extractivism, inequality, claiming for more schools, free education and significative investments in culture. This project is a reminder to our new generation to rethink our context, using the symbol of a flag with aesthetics and colors of our popular and contemporary culture in resistance to the old models, conservatism. This are messages to challenge our present days but with a projection to the future.
The flags were exposed on Peruvian Flag Day in the Historic Center of Lima, in the coffee gallery Union Central.
